How do 's rates compare to other private tutoring services in New York City?
Our rates are in line with other New York City premium private tutors.  These rates insure that we can continue to provide the exclusive service we have committed to: the highest quality teachers and the personalization, customization, flexibility, ongoing access and preparation we provide each student.   However, we also understand that not everyone can afford private tutoring.  For this reason, at least 10% of all tuition fees will be applied to DTT’s pro bono teaching program.

For how long should my student be tutored?
That depends on the individual student.

What grade levels does work with?
specializes in students in grades 4 through 12.

Why does not tutor for the SAT and ACT college-admission tests?
is primarily an educational organization.  While we acknowledge that admission tests are a necessary part of the college application process, we are less interested in attempting to teach college test-taking skills than in insuring that our students become as proficient as possible in the fundamentals of their academic subjects.  They are then free to select from the wide range of test preparation services available.

Does offer group tutoring?
Group classes are generally not recommended since students rarely have the same needs.  However, joint classes can be arranged, if, for example, two friends at similar levels wish to learn together. These lessons are charged at one and one-half times the regular individual rate.

What is 's cancellation policy?
To avoid charge, cancellations and requests for changes must be made at least 72 hours prior to the respective class(es).

Does have a privacy policy?
The only circumstance in which
could ever discuss a student’s academics outside of our organization would be with that student’s school.  We will always get the parents’ express permission before contacting a school to discuss a particular student.  will not share your personal information with any third parties, unless we first acquire the parents’ and student’s express permission before doing so.

The Individualized, Personal Attention
Every student’s curriculum is entirely individualized.  We use a comprehensive diagnostic process to first evaluate and assess your academic needs and objectives and then create a program specifically designed to meet those objectives.

The Programs
For the summer we offer programs in Manhattan, the Hamptons and our innovative Sleep Away Camp program.  Students may “mix and match” sessions from all three programs.  In the fall, when we begin offering tutoring in Manhattan, summer students will be given admission and rate preference.
